Search HashtagsIf you\u2019re looking for a specific item, you can search on Instagram for the item\u2019s name and the word giveaway.For example, if you want a free t-shirt, you can search #tshirtgiveaway and then filter the results by the most recent.After that, all you have to do is look through the posts, make sure they\u2019re legitimate giveaways, and follow the instructions to get the giveaway.However, while this is an easy way to get free stuff, you\u2019re not guaranteed to always find what you want.3. Find Unclaimed MoneyYou can also check to see if you have any unclaimed money.Unclaimed money is money you\u2019re owed by a business, government office, or other source, but haven\u2019t collected.Usually, this is because the entity can\u2019t locate you, so unclaimed money is frequently sent to your state unclaimed property office.This is more common than you might think \u2014 about 10% of all Americans have unclaimed money or property, whether from old bank accounts, insurance policies, or the state \u2014 and over $3 billion is returned to these Americans annually!You can check if you\u2019re owed this free money by going to unclaimed.org\/search\/, selecting your state, inputting your first and last name, and clicking \u201csearch\u201d.If you have any unclaimed property, you can claim it easily by filling out some information and then clicking \u201ccontinue\u201d.In my case, my search just turned up two dollars in unclaimed money because I\u2019m relatively young and have handled almost all my affairs online.If you\u2019re older, though, it\u2019s worth a check since it only takes a few minutes and you could turn up money you didn\u2019t even know existed.Check out my youtube video to know about the free stuffs:4. Get Free Food From RestaurantsOften, you can get free food just by signing up for a restaurant\u2019s newsletter or rewards program.Currently, for example, if you sign up for Red Robin\u2019s newsletter\/rewards program, you get a free appetizer, and if you sign up for Jimmy John\u2019s Sandwiches\u2019 Freaky Fast Rewards, you get a free sandwich after your first order.These aren\u2019t sponsorships \u2014 they\u2019re just the first free food opportunities I found online.You can also get free food by taking advantage of your local restaurant\u2019s kids eat free nights and birthday freebies.5. Get Free StocksWith so many app-based brokerages popping up, there are lots of opportunities to get some free stocks just by signing up for an app or depositing some money.If you\u2019re interested in this, check out this blog post on different brokerages giving away free stocks right now.6. Use FacebookIf nothing else, you can always get free stuff people don\u2019t want anymore.There are lots of ways to do this, but one good way is through Facebook Marketplace\u2019s \u201cFree Stuff\u201d section, where you can see all the free stuff people are giving away near you.Often, these are large furniture items you\u2019ll have to pick up yourself, but occasionally, there are other not-so-bulky things you can find.For example, books are a very common giveaway because they take up space, are relatively heavy, and can\u2019t be sold for very much.Items like baby supplies are also very common because people don\u2019t have a use for them after they move out of a specific stage of life.Because these things are free, people won\u2019t make much of an effort to deliver it to you \u2014 you\u2019re expected to pick them up yourself.While this can seem a little scary, Facebook makes it relatively easy to discern whether something is a scam or not by looking at a person\u2019s profile.If you\u2019re going to do this, I recommend that you Google the individual\u2019s name and location first and consider taking a friend with you to pick up your free stuff.
