$17 – $22 Per Hour (Contract Tracer)

Want to know what’s going to be one of the most in-demand jobs of 2020 that pays an average of $17 – $22 an hour?

If you’d rather watch than read, check out the YouTube version here!

Contact tracers. What are contract tracers? Contact tracers are individuals who track down those who are infected with something, in this case obviously COVID-19, and then also identifying everyone who has been near them and encouraging them to self-isolate at home for a period of time.

So not only can you make money

And states are instituting their own contact tracing programs, but first I just want to play another clip from CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield’s interview with The Hill yesterday, I already played a clip from his interview this morning on his opinion on the country reopening, be sure to watch that previous video if you missed it, but here’s another clip where Dr. Robert Redfield talks about contact tracing.

So Dr. Redfield said that, these are programs that are spearheaded by the states, the states are the employers of these contact tracers, it depends on the states, in other countries, Britain for example, they’re moving toward nationwide contact tracing, but here in the U.S., it will be run by the states, and of course while the salary and the requirements and how many specifically are required in each state will be set by that state, Dr. Redfield estimated that there will be a nationwide need for 30,000 – 100,000 contact tracers, and he acknowledge that others have estimated a lot more will be necessary, he said Dr. Tom Friedan, who was a predecessor of his, served as CDC director from 2009 to 2017 and prior to that as New York City Health Commissioner from 2002 to 2009, Dr. Friedan said it could be as many as 300,000 contact tracers needed.

So you can Google your state’s name + contact tracers for more information about your particular state’s requirement, but there is this company called Contrace that is apparently connecting interested applicants with state and other agencies to fill contact tracing positions, so I’m going to most on over to the Contrace website right now, go over it a bit, and submit an application just so you can see how easy that is.

That wasn’t too bad, was it?  So obviously there are a lot of job openings for this in the near future, but obviously a lot of people will be applying, so I’m not saying this is a slam dunk by any means, but I found it interesting and I thought I would share it with you.

Also if you’re looking for new car insurance, I know a lot of insurers are giving you a few nickels back right now due to COVID-19 but still it’s possible you’re overpaying, check out Gabi, it’s basically a free fintech car insurance comparison site that uses proprietary technology to find you the insurance you need at the lowest rates possible. On average their customers save $825 per year, you just fill out the form, upload your current policy, and you’re off to the races.
