Are You Serious About Saving Money on Your Monthly Bills?

If you’re really serious about saving money, there are some other helpful hints when it comes to your gas purchases. Try these helpful hints:

  • Never let your gas gauge hit empty – always fill up before it dips below 1/8th of a tank
  • Stop using premium gas – You’re going to save on gas so why pay extra? Studies show that premium gas doesn’t really make much of a difference for your car.
  • Turn off engine – There’s no reason to let the car idle while you’re waiting in line.
  • Change oil filters – Make sure you change these every time you get your oil changed.
  • Turn off the A/C – Roll down the windows and enjoy some fresh air. Air conditioning puts a huge drain on your gas tank.
  • Avoid gas stations near the highway – Use one of your gas apps and find a local gas station. You’ll always pay more near the highway.
  • Warm up car for a shorter time – You don’t need to warm the car up for much longer than a few minutes. Most newer cars are ready to hit the road right away.

Once you start saving money, it can become addictive. You may even want to start making some extra money on the side. You can check out fun ways to do this today.
